Measurement of Current-Voltage Characteristics
Measurement is performed according to IEC 60904-1:2006.
Measurement of current-voltage characteristics of PV modules is basic test for assessment of electrical power. This measurement is the only way to complaint power at the manufacturer or supplier.
By this method we can measured these parameters:
-
Open circuit voltage (UOC)
-
Short circuit current (ISC)
-
Maximum power (PMPP)
-
Maximum power voltage (UMPP)
-
Maximum power current (IMPP)
-
Efficiency of PV conversion (ƞ)
-
Fill Factor (FF)

Measurement of current-voltage characteristics of PV modules is performed by the pulsed type of solar simulator, class A+/A+/A+, cetisPV from h.a.l.m. electronic gmbh.
To find out the causes of decreased performance, we recommend the following tests:
-
Electroluminescence analysis
-
Thermal vision analysis
-
Visual inspection
